Introduction to Modelling
(12 and over)
Ramp
- Model's walk, stance and posture
- Relating to an audience
- Basic choreography for ramp shows
- Half turn, American full turn, European full turn and sports turn
- Sitting, standing, social and business situations
- Career and evening wear
- Working in pairs and groups
- Hand positions
- Modelling for T-room shows
Bring at least two outfits and appropriate props, shoes and accessories.

Photomovement
Understanding movement for print model jobs will be the focus of this workshop:
- Creating interesting lines
- How to present your best profile
- How to work with photographers
- Rules of photomovement: what to do and what not to do
Portfolio Development
This workshop will focus on male and female models who are developing their
look for commercial work, such as local catalogues, brochures and flyers.
Breakdown of shoot costs, preparation for photo shoots and working with photographers
will be covered.
Business Aspects
Topics include:
- How to find a model agency
- Promotional materials
- Model's kit
- Promotional activities such as go-see
- Auditions
- Local and international standards
Hair and Makeup
- Techniques for black and white and colour photography
- Basic makeup and hair styling for all occasions
- Makeup application for ramp fashion shows and tips on selecting
the right products and colours
- Advice on hair products to create your look as a professional model
Please bring your own makeup and hair accessories. These workshops
will provide a personal makeover for clients who wish to upgrade their
look.
Wardrobe/Dressing
Dress to make the most of your assets and learn tricks of the modeling trade.
Subjects covered will be:
- Figure analysis
- Fashion trends
- Use of accessories
- Understanding colours
- Survival wardrobe
- Planning and budgeting

Pre-Teen Modelling (8 to 11 years)
This workshop is based upon the old fashioned Victorian Charm School.
The art in developing a young lady covers the following areas:
- Skin Care
- Day make-up
- Nutrition
- Posture (Lasting impressions, sitting, standing, walking, deportment,
greetings and table etiquette)
- Grooming and personal hygiene
- Photomovement
