With a father who was one of Britain's top jazz musicians of his time,
it was a foregone conclusion that Jacqui would follow her father's
footsteps. She worked with big names in music, theatre and television.
After winning Show-woman Of The Year for First Leisure Corporation
in 1992, one of the most coveted awards in the British Entertainment
Industry, Jacqui met and married former NHL player Trent Kaese and
made Nanaimo her home.
Spotlight Academy, a private post secondary trade institution, was
launched to honor the spotlight that illuminated her chair on the evening
of the Show-woman Of The Year awards.
Spotlight Academy provides training
through workshops by industry
professionals in the film, television and modelling fields. With a
name synonymous with discovering young stars, Jacqui now helps others
to pursue their dreams.

Only this year, Jacqui was invited to work for New Line Cinema's
Avery Pictures on their latest feature, Birth, with Nicole Kidman.
Jacqui travelled to New York with Cameron Bright whom she has coached
for the last five years.
Cameron has also worked opposite Robert De Niro, Rebecca Romjin-Stamos
and Greg Kinnear on Godsend, scheduled
for release in the Spring of 2004.
Jacqui had the privilege of working with Nicole, Lauren Bacall, Anne
Hesche and award-winning director Jonathon Glaser for four months.
Jacqui also discovered Eric Peter-Kaiser, the only Canadian lead in
Miracle, the Disney movie about the 1980
Gold Medal win of the USA over the Russian hockey team.
Cameron and Eric are just two of the major success stories from many
who have stepped into the study room of Spotlight Studio.
A year ago, Jacqui decided to sacrifice her own acting career to become
a Licensed Talent Agent with the purpose of helping to manage many
of the up-and-coming young stars to follow in Cameron's footsteps.
"We constantly give in to big city demands from our industry.
What makes Cameron so unique is that he not affected by the big city
bright
lights syndrome. He, like me, maintains his truth through ordinary
everyday reality."
Jacqui has lived life to the full on both sides of the Atlantic. She
cherishes her family and their unconditional love and support.
