Jacki Gunn

Jacki began on stage at Stage Coach Academy in Oxford, England before moving to California at the age of 5, where she began her musical theatre education with San Jose's leading performing company, Starting Arts. She made her debut at the age of 12 in one of California's largest children's musical theatre companys CMTSJ. Her Spotlight Academy journey, and subsequently her professional film and TV journey, began when she moved to Nanaimo, BC at the age of 13. She recently won a role in a feature film The Devout which hits the festival scene this year, making its Canadian premiere at the Vancouver International Film Festival and its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, often referred to as the 'Cannes of Asia.'

Her coaching experience has included teaching for Chemainus Theatre Festival's kids summer camps, Arts Alive Nanaimo's children's musical theatre program, instructing an actor's workshop at the North Island Regional Drama Festival and guest instructing for Spotlight Academy's kids' programs.

She made her directorial debut in California at Playful People Productions where she directed Alice in Wonderland Jr. for the children's musical program. She continues to actively audition in Vancouver's film and TV industries and currently has plans to return to teaching at Spotlight Academy.
